How to have a positive attitude and factors that lead to attitude formationHow to have a positive attitude and factors that lead to attitude formation is integral to our spiritual development. God has given you skills talents and decision making abilities he wants you to use. How many of us have played the victim and blamed the creator when we fail to act on what he has given us? Inspirational messages on attitude will affirm that it's all right to fall into these traps because our positive attitude is what says, “Whatever I have done I am going to stand up again and live the dream my creator intended.”The CAB approach offer some interesting ideas on how to If you want to know how to have a positive attitude and factors that lead to attitude formation. Austin's major belief about attitude is that most people operate as victims, observers and rescuers and when we commit to stop playing these games we can begin to really live in the now. These ideas are a foundation such a lot of self growth material that I wondered of the crossover into Christian writing. I wondered if we as Christians have not been to defensive of our own positions that we have neglected to find God and wisdom presented to us from diverse viewpoints. To unpack the relationship to Christian ideas I have looked at Bonding Patterns to see if Christians are in fact playing victim/rescuer//observer games with our creator. This guide may then act as a kind of an attitude check for us all. By the way I don't want to presume to speak for all Christians and would love you to add your perspective on our forum once it goes up some time in August 2007. If you want to know how to have a positive attitude and factors that lead to attitude formation, look at how you are interacting with your creator. You know we talk a lot about having an intimate relationship with the creator on this site. Since we can assume that relationships take time together and attention I thought a little time with the creator and look at some factors that lead to attitude formation in relationships. We encourage you to ask the questions about attitude to your creator that we asked. Thankfully John Nutting has provided an excellent summery of the types of games people play in relationships that we can use. Nutting identifies power and control as two of the most significant issues in any relationship. Lets then take a look and see if we can create a more Godly attitude in ourselves by becoming aware of some Games we may or may not play with our creator. GREEN = Power and Control and Individuality issues in Relationships - John Nutting - 2004 The more trouble the relationship is facing, the more these power and control issues will come to the surface.(green= John Nutting from growingawareness.com) Well we can definitely say this is true about our relationship with our creator. Separation from God is not something any of us should find comfort in. And on the flip side our creator God has clearly stated that he wants to ave relationship with us. The better the relationship is working the less power and control issues will be a problem. Yes these are factors that lead to attitude formation. This is how to have a positive attitude. Power and control problems over our own lives seem integral to the bigger picture. Perhaps when Eve ate the apple and there was separation from God it was a thing about power but I don't know of anything that really states this. How about you, comment here? The great men of faith surely obeyed their creator God and God answered their prayers. I guess your creator should know whats best for you and if you contact him in that spirit, he will answer your prayers. You won't have any power and control issues in this case. Yes this does show us how to have a positive attitude. A really functional "grown-up" relationship will be marked by the lack of emphasis on issues about power or control. From one perspective I can see that it seems natural that if we are in close relationship with the creator then their will be a emphasis on freedom from sin, the fruits of the spirit, heavenly things, holy things, on God himself, on creation, on love, light, and life. Shouldn't these things have the emphasis as factors that lead to attitude formation. Healing for ourselves and others living a holy and spiritual life. Accepting the gift of life is key to knowing how to have a positive attitude. These are the things I see emphasized in Nuttings work. In my sin I think of sin, but I bring this sin to God in confession and he forgives. The price has been paid and I can continue focusing on my creator God. It makes sense that We emphasize and look at where we want to go. This is not an emphasis on power and control struggle. But from another perspective of how to have a positive attitude and factors that lead to attitude formation I think of Gods call for us to live as little children. I think God wants us to bring all our problems and annoyances to him. As this is a way of putting the Creator as the focal point in our lives. But even from this biblical of putting God in the drivers seat of your life there is potential for perfect synergy as you act to achieve Gods will. Fully submerged in his purposes. But God also wants us to mature in patience as Christians. Instead, both the partners will feel closely connected (linkage) while maintaining a strong sense of individuality and independence within the relationship. This is how relationships are meant to be. If you want to know how to have a positive attitude you will to deal with the idea of the individual. I don't have a problem with this cooming from a Western mindset. God claims to have knitted us in our mothers womb and made us all different. Surely these differences then are something to be celebrated and embraced. But remember the idea of the individual has been created by the culture we live in. Nutting then goes on to list undesirable relationships. We also invite you to go on this journey and compare these dysfunctional relationships with the grown up relationship recommended. Do you play these games sometimes with your creator?
God loves you and wants to have relationship with you. Whatever you have done. We invite you to share what you do to resolve relationship issues you have with your creator here learn about the factors that lead to attitude formation and how to have a positive attitude.
