Factors Which Cause Low Self EsteemComparing yourself with others
is bound to cause low self esteem. This is especially true when the
result is self condemnation. This is because self esteem is not an only
an individual issue but low self
esteem is situated in the local community, weather that is your family,
or school group, or other important groups that shape your
identity. Consider that God created you and planned you long ago, and
he knew you would not live up to human standards. However he created
you and loves you the way he created you, the way you are.
If you find yourself in self condemnation which is the root cause of low self esteem, remember that is not how you were created. You were created with a purpose of good and not bad, and if your self talk is speaking in a different tone. This self talk is learned by past habits and you will have an internal battle going on if this self talk wants to contend with the basic plan for good that is on your life. Cause of Low Self EsteemWhen you consider the factors that cause low self esteem from condemnation you need not look to much further then the scripts that are produced by your self community and that we allow into our self community. By scripts I mean the narratives about particular groups which the individual may identify with and by self community I mean the individuals and groups you identify with. Individuals who don't fit the dominant culture mold as to what success is are exposed more exposed to a root cause of low self esteem. The battle is to maintain the positive mindset in spite of what the dominant scripts in our lives. To maintain a script that will enhance our overall resilience to condemnation. Then it is up to you and your community to shake of the cause of low self esteem, which is this condemnation that does not come from God. Give yourself the advantage of a positive self opinion sourced in your creators work in you. Seeing yourself as righteous individual approved by your creator God, committed to the self esteem of the community, will allow you to step into that reality. You will project your positive self talk onto other and a chain reaction can result. You have learned to become as pleased with who you are right now as your creator is and have escaped the condemnation that wars against you.
