The Gift of Evangelism

Evangelism is sharing the truth with both preaching and personal witness. Everyone has the ability to share the truth of God, but not everyone has the ability to share the truth in a palatable way, to many of the people, much of the time. Others act plain weird a lot of the time and perhaps should not tell anyone they are Christians. The challenge is to share your zeal in a way that is not authentic or false, but relevant to the listener. This criticism may sound a little harsh, but we all know the annoyance those Saturday morning visits by the Jehovah Witnesses bring. If you don't thing these weird activities don't put ordinary people off hearing the word you are living in a different planet to where I am.

In reality meeting people where they are at is a gift in differing proportions to all of us. You can not approach someone with zero regard for their sense of Self and where the individual Self is at, and then attempt an infomercial spiel. These approaches that reduce the gospel to a three step special offer don't sell or only sell to those who have a mindset geared to this method. Is it any wonder our churches are becoming more and more concentrated with these practices. On the other hand you may call to remember the many layers of relationship that brought you into relationship with the creator. These memories may help you to become a witness to others.

Those with this gift can work with the layers and fabric of society, culture , the individual and understand the times they are living in. This Video below will give you and idea of the changing scope of evangelism in todays world. I have also included bible refferences to the keyword zeal which really is at the heart of what it is to evangelize.
