Heroes Spiritual Journey: Lifes Purpose

Now the old man is gone and a new self has arisen old habits and associations come back to taught the new disciple of the spiritual way. Through small failures and valiant attempts the heroine realises the unconditional love and forgiveness of the creator of the universe. Through faith the hero literally walks on water, in a very real way which unites her in lifes purpose with God's will to bring peace of mind.


Joseph Campbell sees this phase as a road of trials, tests, and ordeals, that the person must undergo to begin the transformation. You can only fail in these  trials, tests and ordeals if you refuse to get back up and try again. It involves a supreme ordeal that occurs at the person's lowest point or darkest moment. The separation has been made between the old  self and the new self. By entering this stage, the person shows a love worth dying for. It is a time of meeting with new mentors to sustain you as you return by the path you entered on.
