Jesus is believed to have been English for (Iēsus) in Latin. The name was translated from the Grek Lesous (Ιησους) which is sometimes translated as Joshua. Yahweh ( also translated to Joshua) meaning  deliverer, is another name  that He may likely have been widely known by. He was named  a King, the truth of which was to change the world.
